The GPA/MD, Inc. sponsors an Annual Greyhound Reunion, where greyhound owners can take their pets for games and fun. There are also costume contests and contests for the barest "buns", the smallest and tallest greyhound. Ferrets- Conservative estimates place the U.S. population of domestic ferrets (Mustela putorius furo) at approximately 6-10 million. In the past, American Ferret Association (AFA) research has uncovered population estimates ranging from 1 to 14 million, averaging around 6-8 million for 1988.
